Second Annual Savannah Wine & Jazz Fest Announced

The Savannah Harbor Foundation announced their Second Annual Savannah Wine and Jazz Fest, being held Saturday, April 2, 3-7 pm. Proceeds from the event benefit Kids Cafe, a program of America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, and the Savannah Harbor Foundation. Major sponsors include Comcast, Clear Channel Radio, and The Westin Savannah Harbor.
The weekend promises fun for all, starting with an Oyster Roast and Fireworks Friday night, the Wine & Jazz Fest and Wine Dinner Saturday, and specially-crafted spa treatments, Sunday Champagne Brunch, Golf offerings and more, including a full-fledged golf tournament Monday. The "Ultimate Savannah Wine and Jazz Experience" includes a two-night stay, two tickets to the festival, and $200 Resort Credit to use how you choose. The Savannah Wine and Jazz Fest main event offers guests a fun-filled day for one flat price of $55. Sample & savor an expansive selection of wines while enjoying entertainment by some of Savannah's finest jazz musicians. Also included are wine seminars, blind tastings for a chance to win a Sunday Jazz Brunch for two, iron chef competition, cigar rolling demonstrations, complimentary finger foods, a souvenir wine glass, and two tickets to the Connoisseur's Corner, highlighting some favorite high-end wines. A volunteer group from WTOC will assist in the event, including acting as "Celebrity Winetenders."
Proceeds of the entrance fee will go to the Savannah Harbor Foundation, a 501(3)c charity dedicated to helping local children's charities and providing family-oriented events, and America's Second Harvest Kids Cafe, a leader in initiatives to reduce childhood hunger since 1989. More than 1,800 local children who are at-risk for hunger receive a hot, nutritious, evening meal in a safe, nurturing environment through the program which is designed to assist these children in their personal and academic achievements and thereby end the cycle of poverty.
