Nicklebag

A NICKLEBAG OF FUNK – October 3

Based out of Savannah, GA this hard working band is funk infused with mixes of R&B, Hip Hop, Rock and Soul. It is truly an eclectic musical experience that gets the crowd going and makes the audience demand more. What is consistent about this band throughout the years is its musicianship. It does not matter if it is a three piece or ten piece setup this band always out performs.

Lead vocalists and creator, Leslie Adele is a powerhouse. She presents powerful vocals and emotional performances, every word is emphasized and every note is hit. What is wonderful about this lead singer is that it does not matter if it is a cover song or one of her original tracks; you are going to get the best out of Leslie no matter what! With Adele at the helm, this funk outfit is poised for national attention.

Thomas Claxton

THOMAS CLAXTON – November 7

Thomas Claxton, is a popular fixture on Savnanah’s bar and nightclub scene, and a part of Savannah tradition. The 28 year old makes no bones about his aspiration to become a nationally recognized artist. One who—like both Allman and Mercer—is known not only for composing other performers’ hits, but for masterfully interpreting his own work as well, both on stage and in the recording studio. In addition to Thomas’ own original material, which is often likened to ’90s hard rock sensations like the Stone Temple Pilots, he’s amassed  a staggeringly large repertoire of popular songs by established artists from the relaxed melodic ‘70s pop of America and Led Zeppelin.

THE TRAIN WRECKS – September 5

The Train Wrecks offer up raucous and rollicking Americana that’s as equally indebted to the traditionalist legacies of A.P. Carter and Johnny Cash as it is to the forward-thinking rock & roll of Wilco and Lucero. Local reviewers have been “blown away” by the band’s live shows, and the Wrecks have been officially dubbed “The Hardest Gigging Band in Savannah”, a testament to the love and dedication they have for their music. They come out with an on time rhythm section that is a good as it gets, both acoustic and electric guitars, as well as dobro, banjo, and lapsteele.

Souls Harbor

SOULS HARBOR – August 1, December 5

Souls Harbor are an American alternative metal band based in Beaufort, South Carolina. Originating on the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67), while Doug Marshall, Jonathan Fenin and Rob Cadiz were in the United States Marine Corps, the band was formed late 1999 while on cruise in the Persian Gulf. Winning the 2002 and 2003 South Carolina/Georgia Battle of the Bands, the band released their first full-length album, Writing on the Wall in 2006, signed under the record label, Crash Music Inc. Writing on the Wall was produced by Shinedown's bassist, Eric Bass. The album had been compared to material by the alternative metal band, Sevendust. "Sevendust are a definite influence; "For Me," for example, packs a funky alterna-metal punch that has Sevendust written all over it."
